Data-Retention & Privacy Disclosure

Effective August 21, 2026 · nypd-data-retention@v2.0-2026-08-21

To verify active-service eligibility and provide the course, we collect: (a) the identity details you enter at enrollment (your name and NYPD appointment date), which we check against public NYC Open Data records — those public records are not retained beyond your own verification result; (b) account details (email and sign-in credentials) managed by our authentication provider; (c) payment details, which are processed by Stripe — your card number never touches our servers; and (d) study-activity data (reviews, quiz answers, and progress) generated as you use the service.

We use the following service providers to operate the platform, each processing data only as needed to provide its service: Stripe (payments), Clerk (sign-in and account security), Supabase (database hosting), and Resend (email delivery).

Your course access runs from purchase through your cohort's scheduled exam administration date. The access end date is the scheduled exam date itself — NOT the later DCAS protest-review period; you will not have access to study materials during the protest-review window. Your study-profile data is retained for 90 days after your access ends, for refund, dispute, and support purposes, and is then deleted or anonymized. Purchase and consent records are kept as long as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes.

You may request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@ifinestacademy.com. While you hold an active enrollment, transactional emails about your payment or enrollment status cannot be opted out of; marketing email always includes an unsubscribe link.

Acceptance at enrollment

This disclosure is presented again, in full, when you enroll, and enrollment requires your recorded consent to it. Each consent is recorded with the version tag shown above, so you always have a record of exactly what you agreed to. See also our Terms & Conditions and Accessibility Statement.
